Biology Education (BSED)

The world needs incredible teachers who can inspire them. The Bachelor of Science in Education (BSED) in Secondary Education with a Major in Biology at the University of North Georgia bridges the gap between deep scientific inquiry and impactful classroom leadership. Whether you want to spark a breakthrough moment in a freshman lab or guide high school seniors through the complexities of ecosystems, this program gives you the dual mastery of a life-scientist and an expert educator.

You will graduate fully equipped with the scientific depth, analytical tools, and professional teacher certification required to step directly into your own high school biology classroom. The Biology Education (BSED) is similar to an undergraduate Biology degree but without the organic chemistry requirement and with the addition of 36 hours of required courses for teacher certification.
